Aims and Scope:
Nature archive is available online back to 1869, providing online access to the original papers previously only available in print archives. The Nature archive: January 1987-December 1996 contains over 37,000 articles. The Nature archive: January 1950-December 1986 contains approximately 200,000 articles. The Nature archive: November 1869-December 1949 contains approximately 180,000 articles.

When creating the archives, NPG has recognized the additional features that today's scientists expect from an online resource. Content is integrated into a single interface at nature.com with advanced search capabilities for finding the right information quickly and effortlessly. Users can also browse by issue. Articles are published in PDF format with HTML versions of abstracts and reference lists, and include links to the full abstracting services of CrossRef, Medline, CAS and ISI, including the ISI Web of Science.

The Nature archives are available as a site license. COUNTER-compliant usage statistics are available monthly to measure usage and value.
