Aims and Scope:
Laboratory Investigation is an official journal of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology and is dedicated to the publication of current research that significantly advances the understanding of human and experimental disease. Papers devoted to basic biology are published with a perspective of relevance to experimental or clinical aspects of disease. Technical methodologies are featured when they have potential to further knowledge of disease.
Laboratory Investigation presents:
Pathobiology in Focus Pathobiology in Focus is a FREE and highly popular series on seminal advances across the spectrum of disease pathogenesis, incorporating high-quality artwork and powerpoint slides with concise articles. 2007 was the second year for Pathobiology in Focus and featured a distinguished collection of articles driving discussion and presenting novel hypothesis on topics such as: methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, Wnt signalling, stem cells and neurodegenerative features, notch signalling and tumor angiogenesis.
Readership:
All investigative scientists interested in the understanding and diagnosis of disease, including pathologists, oncologists and molecular and cellular scientists.
Laboratory Investigation provides:
- Original Articles - high-quality, peer-reviewed, original research in all biomedical disciplines relating to the understanding of human disease and the application of new methods to the diagnosis of disease. Both human and experimental studies are covered.
- Reviews - commissioned from leaders in the field, Reviews vary in length depending on the topic addressed. All reviews are supplemented with glossary explanations and highlighted references that are accompanied by an explanation as to why these references are essential reading.
- Letters to the Editor -correspondence between readers, authors, and the community. Letters to the editor deal with subjects that have recently been addressed in the journal or can introduce new topics.
