No. 1 journal in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
Aims and Scope:
Nature
Nanotechnology provides a forum for the publication
of top quality research, encompassing all aspects of nanotechnology
where the core advancement being reported adds to the knowledge at
the cutting edge of the field.
In each monthly issue, in addition to carefully selected primary research articles, Nature Nanotechnology provides a variety of information including editorials and commentaries, reviews, research highlights and news and views, which provide insights and analysis of the key advances reported within the broader literature.
Nature Nanotechnology addresses the design, characterization, production and application of structures, devices and systems by the manipulation of materials at atomic, molecular and macromolecular scales. Nature Nanotechnology takes a balanced approach to this field and will foster the exchange of ideas between scientists involved in different communities.
Readership:
Nature Nanotechnology will be of interest
to researchers across a broad range of academic
departments (including but not limited to: physics,
engineering, chemistry and materials science),
government research laboratories and industry sectors
including: aerospace, defense, automotive, energy
and environment and electrical/electronics/semiconductors.
Each issue of Nature Nanotechnology contains:
- Primary Research - high quality, peer-reviewed research papers that communicate the most significant findings to a broad multidisciplinary readership.
- Review Articles - comprehensive overviews written by leading researchers that inform readers about the state-of- the-art in 'hot' areas of nanoscience and technology.
- News and Views - articles that explain the significance and implications of papers published in Nature Nanotechnology and elsewhere in the literature.
- Research Highlights - brief reports that summarize the most important breakthroughs in the world of nanotechnology.
- Commentary and Analysis - articles that address issues of general interest to the nanotechnology community, and ask questions about future directions in the field.
What makes Nature Nanotechnology stand apart from other journals?
- Breadth of scope - Nature Nanotechnology publishes high quality original research from all areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology, including chemistry, physics, materials science, biomedical research and engineering.
- Combination of both science and technology - coverage extends from investigations of the properties of materials at the nanoscale to the development of new devices for applications as diverse as information technology and medicine.
- Unequalled quality - the Nature brand's emphasis is on editorial excellence and online innovation. Nature Nanotechnology continues this tradition, publishing the most innovative and important research advances across all areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
- Big picture - in addition to publishing research papers and review articles, Nature Nanotechnology also covers funding for nanoscience and nanotechnology, the commercialization of research results and the social impacts of nanotechnology.
- Additional Research Highlights online - every month the online journal publishes extra Research Highlights that will not be included in the print journal. These provide the user with comprehensive and timely coverage of the latest advances in all areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
