No. 1 primary research journal in Physics
Aims and Scope:
Nature Physics
offers news and reviews alongside top-quality research papers in a
monthly publication, covering the entire spectrum of physics.
Physics addresses the properties and interactions of matter and energy, and plays a key role in the development of a broad range of technologies. To reflect this, Nature Physics covers all areas of pure and applied physics research. The journal focuses on core physics disciplines, but is also open to a broad range of topics whose central theme falls within the bounds of physics.
Complementing its core of primary research papers, Nature Physics also provides regular, comprehensive review articles of interest to new and established researchers alike, and a lively mix of editorials, essays, book reviews, commentary, News and Views, and special features.
Readership:
Nature Physics is of interest to researchers
across a wide range of academic departments including
(but not limited to) physics, astronomy,
engineering/technology, maths, computer science,
biophysics & bioengineering departments. The
journal is also a useful resource for government
research laboratories and for industrial physicists,
particularly those working in such sectors as electronics
and semiconductor research, and in telecommunications.
Nature Physics provides:
- Research - papers of the highest standard from all areas of physics, published weekly online and monthly in print.
- Research Highlights - summaries of major papers published from the prior month's issue.
- News and Views - articles that highlight major advances in the field of physics and provide expert views on new issues surrounding the physics community.
- Correspondence - a unique forum for discussing issues of importance to the physics community and technical aspects of papers published in Nature Physics.
- Commentary - expert opinion on policies that affect physicists and on the events and people that move the field.
Why is Nature Physics unique?
- Content Mix - unlike other physics journals on the market today, Nature Physics provides news and reviews alongside top-quality research in addition to commentary, highlights, and editorials - offering our readers a variety of formats to receive the most up-to-date information and enabling them to see the bigger picture.
- Unequalled quality - the Nature brand's emphasis is on editorial excellence and online innovation. Nature Physics continues this tradition, publishing the most innovative and important research advances across the spectrum of physics.
